Aphrodite/Venus - goddess of fertility, love and beauty. during the trojan war, apphrodite fought on the side of paris. she and her son teamed up to cause zeus to fal in love with a human named europa.

Apollo - god of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge. born on the island of delos. twin brother to artemis. the nine muses were companions of his.

Ares/Mars - god of war. represented the physical, violent and untamed aspects of war. was hated by both his parents, zeus and hera.

Artemis/Diana - primarily called the virgin huntress. she is the goddess of wildlife and patroness of hunters.

Athena/Minerva - goddess of war, female counterpart to ares. she is one of the three virgin goddesses. served as guardian of athens.

Demeter/Ceres - goddess of the harvest and of fertility. only women attended her thesmophoria festivals. she is the mother of persephone, who is her only daughter.

Dionysus/Bacchus - god of the grape harvest, wine making, ritual madness, religious ecstasy and theatre. took over for hestia when she decided to leave mount olympus. he was known for wandering the earth and teaching men how to culture vineyards

Hades/Pluto (taken) - god of the undead and riches. king of the underworld. husband of persephone.

Hephaestus/Vulcan - god of fire, metalworking, stone masonry, forges and the art of sculpture. married to aphrodite, considered the only "ugly" god.

Hera/Juno - queen of the olympian gods. she is the gracious protector of heroes. she had few, if any, redeeming qualities. she never forgot an injury and always paid back was done to her in full.

Hermes/Mercury - god of trade, thieves, travelers, sports, athletes, and border crossings. he is guide to the underworld and messenger of the gods. he is considered a "trickester" god due to his cunning and clever personality.

Hestia/Vesta - was originally an olympian goddess, but gave up her position when she got sick of all the fighting and bickering. her position was taken over by dionysus.

Poseidon/Neptune - god of the sea, earthquakes, storms and horses. protector of the seas.

Tyche/Fortuna - goddess of chance, fate and fortune. she represents both the negative and positive aspects of these characteristics. ancient greeks blamed her for all unexpected events in their life, good or bad.

Zeus/Jupiter - god of the sky, lightning, thunder, law, order, justice, king of the gods and "father of gods and men"

hebe/juventas - goddess of eternal youth
hecate/trivia - goddess of magic, crossroads, moon, ghosts, witchcraft and necromancy
hygea - goddess of good health, cleanliness, and sanitation
hymenaios - god of marriage ceremonies, inspiring feasts and song

iris - goddess of the rainbow and a messenger of the gods. she is also known as one of the goddesses of the sea and sky.
kotys - dionysian goddess whose celebrations are wild and lascivious
mania - spirit goddess of insanity, madness, and crazed frenzy
momus - god of satire, mockery, censure, writers and poets, and a spirit of evil spirited blame and unfair criticism
morpheus - god of dreams and sleep, has the ability to take any human form and appear in dreams (mod note: this can only be done with the other player's permission)

pheme - goddess of fame, gossip and renown. her favor is notability and her wrath is scandalous rumors
psyche (taken) - goddess of the soul, wife of eros/cupid. once a mortal princess, given immortality

selene - goddess of the moon
terpsichoree - goddess of dance, chorus and one of the nine muses
themis - goddess of divine order, law, natural law and customs
